Tips & Tricks
How do I get Real Player?

In order to run the video or audio on our site, you need to have the Real Player installed on your computer. If you do not yet have Real Player on your computer, please follow the instructions below to get it (it is free).

1. The first step to getting Real Player, is to know what kind of computer you have.

2. If you are using an IBM-compatible computer, there are two things about your computer that you should know before you download the software.
  • What version of Windows do you use? You may use Windows '95 or Windows '98, or even Windows 3.1.

  • How fast is your modem? Answers to this question could be 14.4, 28.8, 33.6, 56K, or even more (also even less, unfortunately if your modem is less that 14.4 Kbps, you will have trouble seeing and hearing the video and audio on our site).

Now, if you know the answers to the above questions (or approximately), we can go to the Real Player site and get what we need. For us to get the Player, we need to pay a visit to the address

http://egg.real.com/rndl/blackjack.html

(don't worry about remembering this or writing it down, below the instructions there is a link).

The site looks something like this:
(keep in mind that these are only PICTURES of the website you will need to visit to get the Player)

When you get to this site, scroll down the page until you see a form for you to enter your name and email address. The form looks something like this:

  • Begining with the First Name space (circled in red), click your mouse inside the area and type your first name (if you are concerned with privacy, you can consider entering a psuedonym).

  • Next, do the same for the Last Name space.

  • And, finally your E-mail address.

Now is the tricky part. Do you remember what kind of Windows you are using? And the speed of your modem? Well, now is the time to enter that information.

  • First, click on the "down triangle" for the type of Real Player you wish to get (the "down triangle" is circled in orange in the picture). You must choose at 4.01 or 5.0 in order to run our video.

  • In part "2", again click on the "down triangle" and choose the Windows that you use ('95, '98 or 3.1). If you are unsure, you should choose Windows 3.1.

  • In part "3", it asks a question that we didn't go over above, about your processor. You either have a Pentium or a 486, click on the "down triangle" and choose the right processor. If you are unsure choose 486.

  • Lastly, part "4" asks about the speed of your modem, again click on the "down triangle" and choose the right speed. If you are unsure, choose 28.8.

Now you are ready! If you can remember the steps above, follow the link below to get to the website. If you don't think you can remember the steps, you might consider "printing" this page before following the link (to print, click on the "print" button on the tool bar at the top of your screen - a picture of the tool bar is below, print is circled in red).

Without further ado, here is the link, you can click on the picture of the "address bar" in Netscape or on the address:
